Albyn Townhouse has been a fantastic find for us in Edinburgh. A beautiful home , so tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. A few minutes walk from numerous eateries and independent shops in charming Bruntsfield and so convenient to all the attractions of Edinburgh. Lydie is a charming, friendly and welcoming host whose attention to detail is incredible. Thank you for having us Lydie, we will definitely be back to enjoy your hospitality
Our stay at the Albyn townhouse was nothing but spectacular!The host was very accommodating and made the whole experience smooth. The stay itself was very charming and had its own personality. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and the center was only a 20 minute walk. If you come to Edinburgh this is the place to stay!
Me & my girlfriend stayed in the Albyn for 3 nights and loved it. The information for self check-in beforehand from Lydie was perfect. She organised chocolates for birthday celebrations. The self check-in process was simple. We loved our room. It was clean, tidy, very well presented and the bed was so comfy. The bathroom and shower was perfect too. As we were busy during the day, we felt excited to get back to the homely albyn. We loved the decorations, the photos and paintings on the walls and getting back to fresh towels and a re-stock of tea & clean mugs.
We would highly recommend anyone to stay here. We walked into the city centre mostly as it was less than 30 minutes and acrosss a nice park. An uber is cheap though if you are tired of walking.

My room was large and beautifully furnished. A guesthouse with lots of character and Lydie was a great host. Lots of good, clear, helpful and warm communication. Coffee and croissants in the morning was a treat. Good location close to a bus route into central Edinburgh with frequent buses.
The Albyn Townhouse is a great place to stay.
The location is excellent, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and Lydie is a wonderfully attentive and delightful host.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Edinburgh.
The room was lovely, in a beautiful well presented town house, large, airy, spacious, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The facilities - teas, coffees and fresh milk every day - were good quality, Lydie was extremely welcoming and helpful and the location was ideal, central with parking whilst being lovely and quiet.
Lydie was a wonderful host. The room was immaculate, the accommodations were very comfortable and Lydie was a wealth of information. This was the start of a wonderful trip to see our daughter Claire, who is studying in Scotland.
We loved our stay at the Albyn Townhouse. Lydie is a wonderful warm and welcoming host. The townhouse is beautifully decorated and the room was full of thoughtful little touches. It’s in a brilliant part of Edinburgh that we probably wouldn’t have discovered without our stay here. Would highly recommend - would love to visit again 🙂
The Albyn Townhouse is in a quiet, convenient and interesting part of Edinburgh. A short stroll takes you to a wonderful choice of shops and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed breakfast at the Montpelier. Lydie ensures that you feel part of the family and takes the trouble to get to know her guests personally. We were happy in our room with its coffee machine, comfy bed and superb view over the Edinburgh rooftops.
Albyn Townhouse was the perfect accommodation for my needs. Having 3 nights as a solo traveller I immediately felt comfortable and welcome. Calm, homely and very clean. I particularly appreciated the smaller details like fresh milk and breakfast tray brought to your room if requested. Lydie is friendly and helpful.
Looking forward to returning one day.
