Unique and Charming B&B

Our week=long stay with Lydie and David was a joy!!! Our room was well appointed and comfortable, with all sorts of personal touches to make us feel welcome. Our view of Edinburgh Castle, and our very fun and eclectic neighborhood just added to our enjoyment staying at the Albyn. The breakfasts held many more options than the norm, and the breakfast room was lively and encouraged interaction between guests ( a great way to find out about special events and off=the-beaten-track gems). The neighborhood is a delight, with many exceptional restaurants within easy walking distance (as was the bus stop). We would return in a second!!!!! Cheers to Lydie and David for their exceptionally warm and memorable hospitality.

The room was beautifully arranged and had plenty of space, with a large en suite attached, and we were very comfortable staying here. It was quite close to the bus stop for public transport when we had our luggage, but we enjoyed the half hour walk to the royal mile as well, through the park. Everything was very good, but breakfast was a stand-out for me. So many menu options were available, as well as a buffet with home made cakes, jams and compots. I would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful Place to atay

We have been to Edinburgh a few times and this is by far the best place we have stayed. The owners are great, the staff are all brilliant and the location and food are fantastic. It is a nice 20 minute walk into town. We will stay here again and I would recommend it to friends and family

We had the best time. The house is located in a quiet part of Edinburgh but just about 12 minutes by bus from the city center or about 30 minutes walking distance {or 40 if you are slow slugs like us :D] . Our room was on the top floor and we had the most beautiful view of the city, the sea and the castle. The room was clean and comfortably furnished. I personally loved the fact they recycle and they no longer use plastic bottles for shampoo and other mini toiletries.
The breakfast was probably my favorite part. They provide a wide range of breakfast choices, with many being typically Scottish meals. However they offer diary free or gluten free if needed. Also many vegan options.

The house alone as its owners and everyone working there- is charming and very cozy and I am never staying in another "sterile" hotel again.
